Students and faculty are mourning the death of a Castlewood senior.

Around 8 o'clock Sunday night 17 year old Tricia Sonen was driving on county road 20 when her car went into the ditch and hit a guardrail. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Castlewood Superintendent Keith Fodness says extra counselors and clergy will be on hand to help Sonen's classmates. She was one of 23 seniors at Castlewood School.

Tricia you were my best friend and not a day goes by that I don't miss you. Everyday it seems there is some new reason to miss you. From wanting to call you to tell you that I got accepted to college to just sitting in class with me listening to our class argue. It hurts to much having to do those things by myself now but I know that God took you for a reason and I have to learn to accept that. Tricia you were an amazing person and I love you to death.

so happy that you are with Jesus. How I could really mourn for those that don't know Him and will be without Him for eternity. We miss you but we know you are doing exactly what Christians want to all of the time. Praising the King.
