So Sorry About Your Loss

Ruth Earnshaw (Sep 04, 2008)

We lost our son the month before Todd. He was washed off some rocks in Australia by a rogue wave and they have never found him. You can read Jeremy's (23) story at the site his friends put together jeremyearnshaw.com. My hearts are with your family as you ride this emotional wave...blessing and love from Alaska...Ruth

In Great Memory

Kel (Sep 03, 2008)

I as well read this story just today online. I did not know this obviously incredible young man. But would have been honored to know him. This story has made my day sad, but it also brought a smile to know that there still are young men with respect & ambition for others & a true future. It is so inspiring to hear the stories from the people who knew him best and to know that his life will be remembered as a positive one. His life shows that no matter where you grow up, or how rough things are for you, you can overcome anything. I know he loved his Grandmama and that she will miss him terribly. But I pray she and her family have a strong faith in our Lord & Savior and that she knows she will see him again one day. God has his reasons for everything, even though we do not understand, so please do not be angry with God. He will never leave us or forsake us!!! You all will be in my prayers and Todd has truly taught me a lesson in human kindness & love. What a good looking young man, and I agree, those he would have met in life are being cheated out of a great friend. May his teammates play every game for him and keep his memory alive. May the Lord keep all of you in his care & you should be blessed that you knew & had him in your life as long as you did. I hope others will read this story and be inspired to do great things with a true loving heart..God Bless All Who Knew Him
My love always,
A New Fan of #29-RIP

Deeply Touched

Andrea (Sep 03, 2008)

I read this story today and I am so saddened. What a great talent and a great spirit. My deepest sympathies to Todd's family. Words can not express my feelings how heavy you are on my heart. Be blessed and find comfort in memories.

Sly, I cried reading your message. I am very, very sorry. Give your grandmother and hug and a kiss and let her know she is in many peoples prayers.

God bless,
Andrea

Did you enjoy the game

Sylvester Keith Jr. (Sep 03, 2008)

Hey little brother. Man, did enjoy the game. Did you see how your boys played for you. Grandmomma was so proud of you as we all were. Damn I miss you. How are you doing up in heaven. You need to come down and speak to me sometimes. The whole family is still sick behind you leaving us. But we understand somewhat. They sure did blow out Washington and you know that everyone got you jersey on. Todd I love you and I will see you in my dreams when we talk about football and like I said keep an eye on Grandmother and Granddaddy they miss you alot. She don't sleep that good anymore so you need to come and whisper in her ear and let her know its ok. U got this..... Holla at you later. Bye baby boy.
Love
Sly

God's Child

Veronica (Sep 03, 2008)

I never met Todd, but I didn't have to meet him to see that he had a great soul. No one will ever know why God decides to take his children back to him so soon, but we know he is now in a better place. My condolences go out to his friends and family..

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 4:16-15:8

I never met Todd, but his story touched me deeply. May God watch over his friends and family until they join him in heaven. My prayers are with his family.
