A Great American

Thank you Tim Russert for being that voice, that face and that spirt to provoke me to seak the truth. You will be missed.

A Phenominal Man

T. Jones (Jun 16, 2008)

Tim Russert... It saddens me to know that when I awake on Sunday mornings, that I will not be able to see you on Meet the Press. You are the voice of the american people... Democratic, Republican, and Independent. You are truely a man of integrity, and you have had a significant impact on my life. You are the reason that I exercise my right to vote. Today I say a prayer for you, Big Tim, Luke, and your family. I hope that I can be half the man that you are. Rest in Peace my friend, Rest in Peace...

Common Sense

Janice (Jun 16, 2008)

My prayers are with the friends and family of Tim Russert. He was one of my favorite political analysts. He always displayed an understanding of the issues and displayed great common sense-a quality I greatly admire. It was such a shock to here the news. The picture of Luke touching his father's chair on the "Meet the Press" is one of those very poignant ones that stay in one's conscienciousness-like John Kennedy saluting as his father's funeral procession went by. The faith of this family will carry them thru-but what a lose.

My Memory

Kathy storer (Jun 16, 2008)

I don't know how to explain how I felt when I heard that Tim had passed away. I was in shock and immediately burst into tears. I have done nothing but think of him and his family all weekend. When Meet the Press was on yesterday, it was a very touching and moving show. This morning when Luke was on and being interviewed by Matt Lauer, he looks just like his dad. Big Russ, Maureen and Luke all have someone to be proud of...Tim. He is home now eatting all the Buffalo wings he can! He is still with each and everyone of us that he touched in some special way, by a book he wrote , something he said on TV or just his white grease pen board during the last presidential election. You have worked hard Tim, Now may you Rest in Peace.

A Great Human Being

Lou Kloufetos from Indiana (Jun 16, 2008)

I didn't watch "Meet The Press" much but what I did see of it and the other shows he was on made me like the man very much, it's sad to see a powerful voice silenced.
God Bless, rest in peace.

The Boss

Donnie from Michigan (Jun 16, 2008)

You were the Bruce Springstein of journalism. Fearless, tireless, authentic, and relevent. Simply put, you mattered. You were a foothold on what it is, and what it means to be American. You made your viewers comfortable because we knew you were the most informed, and the most honest. Thank You for looking out for us. You will truly be missed.

We'll MIss him

Andrew (Jun 16, 2008)

As a young listener in China through downloading podcasts every week, I listened to Mr. Russert's political discussions with other politicians with enthusiasm every week...and it's just absolutely heartbreaking to hear the news of his death. As a high school student, I really admired his way of handling different political matters and yet maintaining the objectivity of his reports. I loved the way he handled the interviews and as a school leader, I looked up to the way he talked to others...I will miss him... and may He be in peace in heaven.

Topnotch Guy

Jody Nyers (Jun 16, 2008)

To The Russert Family, I awoke on Saturday morning (on the last day of my vacation) and turned on Weekend TODAY and was surprised to see Matt Lauer sitting there and within moments I realized the reason why. To say I was shocked is an understatement! I have watched as many programs as I could over the weekend, including "Meet the Press" (as I often did) and have cried at least 17 different times. It is just unfathomable to think that Tim will not be here to report on the political scene and especially this upcoming election.

I send my heartfelt sympathies and prayers to the entire Russert Family.

May your memories of Tim carry you forward.

Love, Jody

Dear Tim,

Walter Marshall (Jun 16, 2008)

I hereby declare Buffalo Wings be renamed, in your honor, from this day forward, as Buffalo Angel Wings. Light on the sauce, medium on the butter, heavy on the love.

You were a good kid.

My Memory

Tim I always looked forward to hearing "the truth" from you. You helped make my decision about politics easy because you put it in layman terms that I understood. You will be missed. Rest in peace.
