Pete was a TV news anchor and radio talk show host in the San Francisco Bay Area. Starting at KTXL in Sacramento he came to KGO-TV Channel 7 in 1983 to fill the shoes of Van Amburg. He worked at KRON-TV for 12 years before returning to KGO-TV and adding a two hour radio talk show on KGO AM 810. He was well respected and his unexpected passing was a shock.
Pete was a veteran of the Vietnam war, loved to golf, and loved to debate.
He is survived by a wife and son.

Memories

A great personality

Kevin Severud (Jul 23, 2007)

If you ever listened to Pete's "circular file" at the end of his newscasts or the way Pete would often start off his radio show you know he had a light hearted, humorous personality. This was exemplified even better by the shorts created by Mike Amatori. He was far too young to leave us and will be greatly missed.
