I never go a day without watching my golden girls Monday thru Friday four times a day after I get off work at 3 to 4 and at 12am to 1am I can rememeber the lines to most of the shows and say them along with the cast. I love all of the ladies but Sophia really made it a joy and most of the time she was saying the things we wanted to say to some of our friends and family members but didn't have the guts. I wll really and truely miss her she was really a great artist in her gift.

The Golden Girls has been a favorite television of mines for many years! Estelle will truly be missed by many! Until this day, I still watch the reruns on tv which always bring a smile and much laughter! Thanks Estelle, and the rest of the Golden Girls for a great series!

ESTELLE GETTY WAS MY FAVORITA PERSON ON THE GOLDEN GIRLS I LOVED ALL OF THEM BUT SHE WAS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY I WATCHED THE SHOW.WHEN I COME HOME FROM A STRESSFUL DAY.ALL I HAVE TO DO IS WATCH THE GOLDEN GIRLS THEN I WOULD BE OK.(SOPIA)WILL BE MISSED.I WAS TRULY A BIG FAN AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

To me, Sophia was the Queen of that household.
I really started to watch Golden Girls when it went into syndication, at the same time I went through my divorce. The show really made me laugh. It was Sophia who had the great lines, and balanced everybody.
I will really miss her. A true great lady.

I loved, loved Estelle, she brought so much to the world, the world was a better place because of her, she brought so much love and laughter to my life, she will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

The Golden Girls gave me a feeling of meeting with four good friends in their living room everyday. The only thing I didn't do was get out the cheesecake. I watched this show without fail everyday after work like clockwork, to the point where my daughter had the theme song memorized!
I can't tell you how sad I am Estelle passed. I feel like I have experienced a personal loss even though we really didn't know each other.Even my husband was sad for me, because he knew how much I loved the show. And of the four girls, Estelle was my favorite. I loved her direct, strong, yet good hearted wit. I really loved all of them, but her character I loved the most. I could see there was a really good person behind her role.

My heart goes out to her family. I feel has if an important chapter in my life and comedy sitcoms has closed. God bless you.

I FEEL SO SAD BUT STILL I`M HAPPY THAT SHE AND THE AOTHER GIRLS HAVE GIVEN US COUNTLESS MOMENTS OF LAUGHTER AND HAPPY WARM FEELINGS ABOUT NICE THINGS AND SOMETIMES SAD. ESTELLE WAS THE SOUND OF REASON, SOMETIMES IN AN IRONIC BUT ALWAYS ABSOLUTELY THE MOST LOVING WAY YOU COULD IMAGINE!! IF IT WASN´T FOR MY OWN MOTHER I WOULD HAVE WANTED ESTELLE ( SOPHIA ) FOR MY MOTHER ANYTIME!!!!

Estell was the real comedy for the show Golden Girls. She let me know getting old won't be so bad. Just laugh and enjoy it . She had a lot of lessons for us to learn and Loving was one along with Sex and most of all laughter . Let all of these hold a place in everyones heart as it does mine. She will be miss but most of all she left something behind for all of us just open your eyes . You were dearly Love Estell. Thank you.

Earlier in my life, I fought an ongoing battle with depression. I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful show the Golden Girls has been, or how much it has meant to me, at least the words do not feel adequate. Watching the Golden Girls was so very healing for me during that time. I looked forward to it each week feeling like I just needed a "fix". It picked me up when I was so down! I am happy to say the depression was not permanent, just a condition secondary to life's wicked sense of humor at the time. I still watch the Golden Girls every chance I get and could never get tired of it! Estelle, thank you for the laughs you so generously gave all of us over the years. I pray that God blesses your family in this time of sorrow and keeps them safely in his hands until you meet again.
