Estelle Getty will always be Sophia to us. She was an exceptional lady, who could make us laugh and cry. We regularly watch The Golden Girls, and hope to grow old dis-gracefully. We will miss Estelle but she will always live on an shine in The Golden Girls. From D & D in England

I loved Estelle on the Golden Girls I still watch the show every day. She was so great with all her quips to everyone else on the show. She always made me laugh!! Thanks for all the years of laughter you will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

The walk

Its all about the walk, May Estelle walk through heavens gate with pride for she brought joy with her laughs and may she walk up to Jesus and tell him a joke and finally know she has no pain and she gets to touch the lords face for the first time Rest In Peace you were a great woman

I didn't become a "Golden Girl" watcher until the last few years. I look forward to everyday watching this show. Not only did Estelle make me laugh, but my whole family (who ages vary from 15 to 45). Thank you for all the laughter and enjoyment you gave to me and my family. God Bless You! We will miss you!

Thank you for all the laughs. You have made that show what it is. The other girls are very funny, but you wit and charm made the difference. You will be issed and I still enjoy the show as I watch it everyday. No matter how many times you see it, it will still have you rolling around on the floor. The world has lost a wonderful woman. I'm writing because I worked for a company that was taking care of Estelle for may years.
I helped hand pick some of her workers and they were and still great ladies. To her family she was a sweet person . To all that got to know her and meet her she made life a little easier for all.

We loved your performance on Golden Girls. You were what made the show, but no offense to the other gals, they were all amazing in their own way. But I have to say you always made me laugh. You were a great comedian. We are going to miss you so much. You were a great part of many lives.
