Blood In My Locker - The Motion Picture

Blood In My Locker - The Motion Picture

James Miller Productions would like to respond to some concerns over the motion picture, "Blood In My Locker" which is to start shooting in Metro Vancouver in August 2008. The motion picture, although having a scene involving a mass school shooting, is being produced to educate and inform on prevention of violence and helping persons at risk of becoming violent in schools and communities. The film tells the story of four teens who face challenges and must learn to overcome them. Detailing the methods that work for three of the four while the fourth teen "falls through the cracks", it will be a gritty, shocking and graphic look at issues facing today's youth. It will not sensationalize the fourth individual and in fact will demonstarte ways that the youth is overlooked along with many warning signs and cries for help before he takes lives of fellow students and school staff. This film will be sure to fire up emotions and debate over the issues and act as a stepping stone for people of all ages and backgrounds to gain a further understanding of the issue and of how to identify risk factors and indicators.

James Miller, the script writer - producer and director has been working in the area of violence awareness and intervention for many years. He sees this film as a way to get the message out to the mass public. The film is sure to cause some debate and may be very emotional for some people to watch but at the end of the day, this film will prevent the loss of lives. That is the goal of the project. This will be a hollywood style movie that delivers an impactful message. Within the first 2 hours of posting the casting and crew call in Vancouver, BC Canada, dozens of people responded to get involved in this project in order to be a part of something they know will have a long lasting effect.

James says, " I am not here to glorify the individuals who have taken the lives of our children in schools around the globe. The sensationalism will be focused on the characters in the movie who are able to get help and admit they need outside assistance with their problems. The ones who recognise their own vulnerabilities and issues and are able to find the help they did not know was there. The ones who felt so alone and isolated by their issues and found that when they did get help, there were many others going through the same struggles and they were not alone after all. I know that some people will be upset with this project and I have already received some very intense communications against the project but that will not stop this project. It needs to be done."

James Miller is the Founding Director of the internationally recognized organization, "E.N.D. Youth Violence" www.youthandviolence.com) and author of the book, The Three Keys To Youth Crime Prevention" being released later this year by Rowman and Littlefield Educational Publishing. James is also the Owner and President of James Miller Productions and several subsidiary companies. He has worked on many projects in the production industry and has also played small roles as an actor and comedian in several projects. He further stated, " I know how emotional this topic can be. I worked with victims of the Columbine tragedy to block the release of a video game that allowed players to re-enact the massacre. I assure everyone this will be something that at the end of the day will have a positive impact on the people who see the movie and the issue of Youth Violence as a whole.

My Memory

Added Feb 11, 2008 By Jen

I knew Tyler. Never could I have dreamt of the pain he would cause. Never would I have dreamt he loved her so much. Never would I have dreamt I would remember him in such a sad way. Never would I have dreamt my heart could ache for victims and families i did not know. Never would I have dreamt it would be so close to home.

Although I never knew any of these wonderful angels nor their families. I live near by and my heart is filled with hurt and sorrow for all of the families! There are never any words strong or powerful enough to take that pain away. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers everyday!

My memories of Jordanne

Added Jan 30, 2008 By Ross Kincaid

My memories were of Jordanne. I went to school and graduated with her. She was an awesome person and I still cannot believe to this day that she is gone and will always be gone. Probably the most recent memories that I have of her is when we were in senior study hall and we would just sit and talk all hour. She was a really good friend, and person. People like her are really hard to come by anymore, and i am glad that I had the privelage of knowing her.

My heart felt memories

Added Jan 11, 2008 By Ashley Sheldon

Most of my memories were with lindsey.
We grew up as kids together. Her 6th birthday I was the only one that came.It was an awsome party.Lindsey's brother was there too. We had cake and ice cream, There was a pinata, and there was something else but it was in the auditoruim of the old crandon high school where the party was held. There's a whole lot more memories to share but the one I cherish the most is, that she was my friend.
Now all I can say is Good Bye..

At middle school

Added Dec 10, 2007 By MLM

I always saw Katrina in the halls at middle school...she was a really quiet gurl didn't really talk that much, but she was very kind and very dedicated!! Still can't believe that she's gone...even though I wasn't as close to her I feel the pain...it's hard to loose someone you know! My prayers go out for her and her family also to the other victims and their families! Let her be remembered this Christmas...not with tears; with smiles because she was always smiling!

Awesome Times...Great Memories...

Added Oct 25, 2007 By Stephanie Sharp

I am a senior at Crandon and was very good friends with Katrina and LiAnna...LiAnna and I were friends since i moved here in 3rd grade, almost 9 1/2 years ago...Katrina and I were good friends in 5th grade and slowly slipped away from eachother, later becoming good friends again our junior and senior year. I was also friends with Jordanne, Bradley, Lindsey and Charlie. I stopped hanging out with Bradley and Charlie a couple to a few years ago...Now there was only the occasional party I would see them at and throw a drunk hello. Jordanne was always a sweet girl, we didn't know eachother that well but everytime we saw eachother we would say hi...Lindsey was a little sweetheart and always had something quarky to say...All my memories of these people never fail to put a smile on my face...I almost couldn't go through with seeing them in their casket...I didn't and still don't want to believe they are gone from me, from all of us...I will always miss LiAnna and Katrina waiting in the hall for Meagan and I as we came into the school from lunch...I will always miss the dirty little comments or funny stories we always told to eachother...That was a great quark about us...We always had something to laugh about and were never afraid to say anything to eachother or anyone around us...LiAnna was a very funny, imaginative, and outgoing person...What i will never forget about her is her laugh, she had the most interesting laugh I've ever heard...I'm happy I still have her sister, Lindsey, who has the same laugh...Katrina always had a huge smile on her face, even the says she was upset...I can remember when I would come in the school mad and she would make me feel better...I can't imagine a school year without them...And now I have no choice...It sucks...I don't want them gone...I wrote 4 poems about the tragedy that has happend...www.myspace.com/stiffypookie....check them out...they are in my blog..

My heart goes out to the families of this horrific tragedy. As a police officer in Michigan for many years, it's never easy to hear about tragic events involving such young lives. My deepest sorrows to all involved, as well as Tyler Peterson's family
