Farewell to a friend

Added Jul 14, 2008 By elaine davis

I have known Skip for many years, both as a patient and a friend. His was very
passionate about his country, his politics, his music and his family.
We used to talk about events involving Brian. I am sorry I did not know anyone
else in the family.
He was so excited about Brian's career, and I know he wanted to live to see him
a success. We have lost a very witty, kind and generous gentleman.
My condolences to the family

I will miss you good buddy

Skip was not just a online friend, but a true friend whom I called and talked to on a regular basis and he called me also.We had so much in common that it scared us both...I knew the SKIPPER for over 5 or more years and when he did not know something about his computer he called me and I did the same when I needed info about selling on ebay as he did and he seems like a brother to me,NOT just a online friend and I will miss him as a brother does...He always talked to me about his sons music and even sent me the CD,S HE MADE.....Skipper may You rest in peace and one day we will meet

Go with God Brother

I am glad I got re-aquainted with Skip in the late eighties. I admired his intellect and his dedication to his two sons. I never saw someone more into music than him. It was something he got from our dad, CW McRae. In fact, at times I wished I had had someone like him pulling for my musical career. He was funny, brash, stubborn , musical, witty, sometimes pesky, but never boring, and always ready with sage advice on almost any subject. He was excellent at whatever he undertook to do and always did what he deemed was his duty. He never talked about his military service, but I know he was very partiotic. Well, as the song says, "Go rest high on that mountain....son your work on earth is done"
