Like most of us in this world, I never had the pleasure to know Bernie Mack personally, face to face. Yet, he managed to open his heart to me in such a way that he felt like one of the family, like a favorite cousin or uncle. I admired the way he was point blank, and for real about OUR issues, experiences, tendencies and backgrounds and used them as a foundation not a crutch to achieve what was inevitable--his BRILLIANT life. . I totally respect and honor him for that. I am forever grateful for the way he had me laughing so hard that I would cry and roll in the floor. He was not a simple jester. He had the wonderful gift of helping us to realize how 'this too shall pass' with his hilarious way of joking. It just seemed to me that he was living his life on film and screen---what we saw was who he really was. I am so glad that we have had the opportunity to capture on film the GIFT he has been to so many. WELL DONE, Mr Mack. Thank you so much.
I love everything that Bernie Mac was in it just seems so surreal that he is no longer gracing us with his presence. He seems like he was part of my own family. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with his family and all of his fans.
